Princess Diana's Biography

Diana Frances Spencer was born on July1, 1961, in Sandringham, Norfolk, England. In May of 1981, she married Charles, the Prince of Wales.

She was the mother of Prince William Arthur Louis of Wales, who was born on June 21, 1982 and Prince Henry Charles Albert David who was born on September 15, 1984, both at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London. Princess Diana was born at Park House, the home that her parents rented on Queen Elizabeth II's estate at Sandringham. This was where her childhood playmates were Queen Elizabeth's younger sons....Edward and Andrew. She was the youngest daughter of Edward John Spencer and Frances Ruth Burke Roche.

Princess Diana studied at Riddlesworth Hall (Norfolk) and West Heath School (Kent). She last attended Chateau d'Oex at Montreux, Switzerland, where she studied French and became a competent skier. She then returned to London where she lived with thre female friends in a rented apartment at South Kensington, London, and became a kindergarten teacher at the fashionable Young England school in Pimlico, and renewed her contacts with the Royal family.

Later her friendship with Charles grew in 1980, and on February 24, 1981 their engagement was announced. Their marriage ceremony took place at St. Paul's Cathedral on July 29, 1981. The couple were officially separated in 1992.

On February 28, 1996, the Princess announced her readiness to officialy divorce Prince Charles. After the two were separated, on August 31, 1997 - the beautiful Princess of Wales was killed in a traffic accident in Paris, France.
